Cenchao’s research focuses on air pollution exposure and public health, particularly how human mobility, socioeconomic conditions, and environmental policies influence population exposure to air pollution and associated health risks. She integrates air quality, mobility, health, and socioeconomic data to characterize exposure patterns and disparities and to evaluate potential policy impacts. She is also interested in understanding how extreme climate events, particularly extreme heat, interact with air quality and reshape human exposure and health risks.
